God of War for PS4
After 5 years of waiting we can finally talk about the new God of War release for PS4. New look, new mythology and above all a new story that absorbs us and introduces us perfectly into the game.
In comparison with previous releases we can say that we have exchanged the angry Kratos we are used to for a quieter one, but it is still our ghost of Sparta.
We also see a change in hack and slash for a much more tactical type of combat and a clear change in the mythology from Greek to Nordic as there are not many more gods left to kill. The incorporation of Atreus, although at first it may have a load-bearing aspect throughout history, becomes an indispensable support. We can also find improvements in armor and jewelry for Kratos and his son, giving them a touch more of a role. For this we find submissions such as killing enemies, searching for objects and inspecting areas.
What can we highlight about God Of War for PS4?
If we talk a little bit about the visual aspect, the graphics are a marvel, with landscapes that don’t skimp on details.
The soundtrack makes you get into the atmosphere and thanks to it you get to smell like a mountain with Kratos and his son Atreus.
Very remarkable the sequence shot during the whole game. There’s nothing noticeable about the separation between gameplay and cinematic moments and it creates a unique fluidity that makes you believe you’re watching a movie instead of playing a game.
From a personal point of view I have to say that I have been made short of durability, perhaps because of the absence and longing to kill more gods as in previous deliveries. I believe that those gods have been reserved for possible future deliveries or DLCs, along with the various inaccessible areas of the game.
In short, you don’t need to play the previous games to play this one, but we certainly recommend it. In this way the player can become more immersed in the story and understand all the references that are made.
